Mineradora de Eike pode ficar sem dívidas após venda de porto

A mineradora MMX (MMXM3), de Eike Batista, ficará sem dívidas e com recursos em caixa após acordo com a Trafigura e o fundo Mubadala, de Abu Dhabi, disse o presidente da companhia, Carlos Gonzalez, em teleconferência com investidores nesta sexta-feira (13).

A produtora de minério de ferro anunciou nesta semana que a empresa e Eike negociarão nas próximas quatro semanas com os grupos estrangeiros um contrato definitivo que prevê participação acionária total de 65% na MMX Porto Sudeste.

Em troca, a empresa fará emissão de US$ 400 milhões em ações, e os estrangeiros se comprometem a comprá-las e assumir dívidas.

Além disso, com a negociação firmada com Trafigura e Mubadala, os investidores disponibilizarão um empréstimo-ponte de US$ 150 milhões para a empresa.

O Porto Sudeste está avaliado em R$ 6,15 bilhões pela MMX. Com a negociação, a participação da MMX na subsidiária MMX Porto Sudeste fica reduzida para 35%. A opção permitirá a companhia aumentar sua fatia para 42,5%.

A empresa também informou que vai decidir em 2015 se fará expansão da produção de minério de ferro por meio de dívidas ou vai se aliar com um parceiro estratégico.
